City Daily Photo: Blog Acceptance Requirements

Joining the City Daily Photo blog community is not too demanding, but in order to offer our viewers the best experience, we ask our members to comply with a few rules. Please read the following carefully before you apply.

1. Post one - and only one - photo a day
   Quality and regularity is better that quantity! We know that sometimes it's difficult to choose, but it's the game : post a single photo of your city every day.
2. The theme is your city only
   The published photo should be about your city, ideally a photo that couldn't be taken anywhere else. Try to avoid posting pets, flowers, etc. for you can find them everywhere. Instead, try to show you visitors the most interesting parts of your city.
3. One city and only one per blog
   Your blog should be about one and only one city (and possibly its surroundings).
4. Blog title should include city name
   The name of the city must appear in the title of your blog so that people know where they "land". The most common choice is "YourCity Daily Photo".
5. English text should be provided
   This community aims at showing the best of your city to the rest of the world. Therefore, since English is the most international language, we made it a rule that all photo captions must be in English (of course, non-English languages are allowed, but only as a addition to English.

City Daily Photo: Community Rules

• Attempting to cheat the portal (cheating is defined here as circumventing the intended use of the portal by exploiting technological loopholes) is not tolerated and results in immediate removal of the author's blogs from the portal.
• Blogs who stop posting daily for a period of time will not be displayed on the portal for that period of time, but will be able to re-appear on the portal as soon as they begin posting again.
• Harassing other community members in any way is not tolerated.
• Do not register to the theme days if you don't intend to participate in them. We take this very seriously.

City Daily Photo: Conditions to appear on "Community Favorites"

1. Be on as many user's favorite blogs lists
   For each blog, a score is defined as the number of its occurrences within individuals favorite blogs. The top 16 higher scores forms the most popular blogs list.
2. Publish in the last 30 hours
   Blogs that do not publish for 30 hours will be removed from the most popular list. Once a new post is published the blog will appear again on the list assuming its score is still within the top 16.
